Přemysl Vinš

vins photo (638x640)Přemysl Vinš is a Czech anthropologist engaged in Albanian history and literature. He was born in 1982 in Domažlice (Czech Republic) and he finished the master’s degree at Faculty of Human Studies of Charles University in Prague. At the same faculty, he continues his PhD study in the field of anthropology. He focuses his attention on modern history of Albania, especially on the period of communist regime of Enver Hoxha. He wrote several articles related to Albanian communist antireligious propaganda, Albanian historical narrative, Albania’s splits with its allies and Czech-Albanian relations. He learnt Albanian by himself. Since 2010, he teaches Albanian history and literature at Faculty of Arts of the Charles University in Prague and currently he is engaged in translations from Albanian into Czech language.
